Having a bondage set under the mattress is such a fast and easy way to restrain your partner. You don’t need to master the rope or prepare longer, you can “just” get the cuffs under the mattress and you are in control of what happens next. When the restraint set is good you can be in paradise, but when it isn’t… then you are in trouble, and not in the good kind.
And I have good news and bad news about this set. It all depends on what you want and how you are built.
But let’s begin, shall we?
Packaging and what is in the box
The Under the bed Restraint Bondage Set is in a decorative box. It looks good and it is medium size and medium heavy. According to the box there is a manual inside, but I haven’t found any instructions. Everything was pretty explanatory though, so I didn’t really miss it much, but still I found this disappointing.
There is a dark box in the outside box, that makes it look a bit more kinky and put together. The size of the straps is 140 x 290 and it is totally adjustable, so it is going to fit most beds.
The set has 2 wrist cuffs and 2 ankle cuffs that are totally detachable with a D-ring and 4 quick release clips. This means that you have a full set of cuffs that you are able to use anywhere you want, not just only in your bed.
The quality of cuffs and the straps
The material of the cuffs is PU-leather, the inside part feels like soft neoprene. It is Polypropylene. It stinks when you open the box, just like most of the similar things, so take time to air it out before the first use.
The closing mechanism and the quick release clips are made of metal. Only the adjustable clips on the straps are plastic. The cuffs look and feel way more “comfortable” and durable then the straps. These straps are way thinner than I expected. They can do the work, but if you are looking for something that is stronger and can make you feel totally powerless then I would recommend choosing the Professional Under Mattress Set.
Let’s talk about the part that can be the most problematic
I found that the size of the cuffs is not well thought through. I am a curvy woman with smaller hands and medium sized wrists and the cuffs can fit my wrists comfortably, but they can be too big for somebody with a smaller wrist than mine. I’m somewhere between the last hole and the one beforehand. If I would be the kind of sub who wants to escape I would probably be able to do that. The last hole feels a bit too tight and when you first start you use the cuffs it is more rigid and it is very challenging to close it. With time this changes, and it all becomes easier, but I struggled with this at the beginning.
The good news is that if your wrists are wider or even very wide, the cuffs will still fit you. The ankle cuffs are a bit bigger hence our ankles tend to be wider than our wrists so they are going to easily accommodate a bigger ankle as well. So it all depends on the sizes.
If you have cuffs that you like you can easily use them instead of the original ones. In general I find this an OK quality, and it can serve a lot of people, but if you want to use it on somebody with narrower wrists and ankles, then this won’t be the right fit for you.
