Are these sensory fingertips up for the task?
Sensory play is so hot and yummy. I collect things that create mind-blowing experiences from sensual to kinky. You could read about pinwheels, feathers, temperature play… Give me all the toys, so that I can play with them, please.
When I saw the Sex and Mischief - Sensory Fingertips I wanted them right away. My nails are quite short and I want them this way, but I also love my touch to be edgy and different even in solo play. So I welcome everything that can provide a bit of a thrill or relaxation hopefully ebbing and flowing with dome twists and turns.
The set comes in a relatively bigger box even though there are only 5 metal clasp fingertips in the box. It is not a huge deal, but worth mentioning. I’m fine with getting “only” 5 fingertips and keep my other hand free for anything else. 5 is enough. Actually I usually use just one or 4 of them at a time.
The fingertips are in a plastic bag, they are long, light and both of them are the same size. The same size part is what I find challenging. I have relatively small hands, my fingers are a bit thicker. I find a size L latex glove more comfortable than an M.
The Sensory Fingertips fit well on 4 of my fingers but not much on my thumb. The fingertips don’t reach the knuckle and it feels like the tip is going to fall off. It is hard to let myself into play when I feel like the fingertip can fall any second, so usually I just leave my thumb out or I only put one metal cap on.
I love stroking with them. It feels different from touching or using the edge of my shorter nails. It provides gentleness with a bit of a tease. Unfortunately that is the max in the “scary” scale. I personally would welcome a bit more sharpness, and I really miss that feature. I will definitely find the right nail caps one day, because I want them. The end of the fingertips are a bit rounded, this is why there is not much sharpness, but at the same time this is safer.
In my experience I can put some pressure on the ends and that feels nice, after some practice I can even pinch with them, when I use more than 1 fingertip. Just a softer pinch, but still it is something else. :)
They look exotic and a bit gothic, so they also provide a bit of an aesthetic as well, especially if you wear 10 of them at the same time.
I don’t like wearing them longer than 10 minutes. Maybe with more wear I would get used to it, but I'm a highly sensitive person and instead of the pleasure my fingertips feel overstimulated and even after taking them off I can still feel like they are on my finger.
I feel like it is good to have the Sex and Mischief Sensory Fingertips, but personally I don’t use them that much and mostly just for shorter periods. When I find a set that is sharper I will choose those over these, so my final verdict is more like a so-so than I yummmm.
