Are these candles hot or too hot? - SexCoach Blog

Whenever I see hot candles used in films (ok not that many times) it looks easy and fun. I have the feeling that people have the wrong impression about wax candle play. Yes, it can be fun, and yes, it can be easy, but there are rules to follow in order to make it safe and know what you are doing.
The Sensual Hot Wax Candles were not my first try with wax play. I have to admit that some of it was unexpected.
Why should you use special candles for wax play instead of standard ones?
This is my main complaint about the films. You don’t know that the candle used for wax play needs to be special, because it needs a lower burning temperature.
Standard candles burn at a high temperature, wax play candles (like this one) burn a bit lower, and massage candles burn at an even lower temperature. This means that you shouldn’t use standard candles on the skin, because they are too hot and can cause a lot of damage.
Wax play candles also are not harmless. Yes, the hotness can be sensual, but it is more like a stingy sensual with some pain. The drips are hot. This means that you have to keep at least 18 inches of distance between the candle and the skin. Moving even further can help a little if the drip feels too hot.
There are also parts of the body that are not up for play with hot wax: intimate areas, openings, belly button, skin folds and of course only use wax play on healthy skin.
Please always be careful when using any kind of burning candles. Another way to lower the temperature of the drip is to use a spoon and let the wax arrive there first, and when the drip lands on the skin it is not as hot. It needs a bit of extra effort, but if this is what is needed in order to have the desired effect, then it is worth trying.
Another important thing about wax candles is that they can leave non-permanent marks on the skin. These marks last about 12 - 24 hours. So please consider this before play.
How are the Sensual Hot Wax Candles?
It is time to talk about the Sensual Hot Wax Candles. They come in a small box with 3 individually wrapped candles: 1 black, 1 white, 1 purple. They have a slight aroma as they are opened, it is a sweeter, slightly coconutty scent. Because of the wrapping the candles stay separate and they don’t merge together.
There is no indication on the packaging about the temperature, which is a mistake. I don’t know if the temperature of the different coloured candles is the same or different. (Usually different coloured candles are different temperature wise.) To me the purple felt the hottest, the white was in the middle and the black felt the “coldest”. Of course this is subjective, so I don’t know the truth about it. Also seems to me that the black was the “runniest”, easiest to drip.
I could feel a bit of the aroma on my skin after cleaning the wax off. It was very pleasant.
I find these candles a bit too hot for my taste, but I am not into being a receiver for wax play much. If you love the feeling of hot drips on the skin, you will love these candles.
