A hood with reinforced blindfold

Wearing a hood affects everything. It can be a permission to disappear in a way, leaving behind the outside world and the usual inner landscape. It can also help to be more present, hence the senses are limited, everything will be more accentuated.
Some hoods, like the Fetish & Fashion - Closed Hood cover everything. Some have an opening for the mouth or lips or both. The reason I wanted to try the Fetish & Fashion - Cover Hood is because of the reinforced blindfold. It is supposed to create total darkness.
Most closed hoods are made from only 1 layer of material to make them breathable, but this also means that they are a bit see thru. Of course you can always add an extra blindfold. It is just a bit more challenging, when your ears are also covered. If you put the blindfold on first, the hood can make it more uncomfortable.
So when I realized that the Fetish & Fashion - Closed Hood has a built-in blindfold, I wanted to try it, and “see it” myself.

Opening the box, the first thing I felt was a chemical smell. I can be very sensitive to it, so I had to wash it and air it before the first use, and I also suggest the same, so that you will be prepared. The goal is to liberate the senses, not to overwhelm them.
The material is soft and shiny. It is a bit stretchy (but not much) and reminds me of shapewear. And my second impression was that it seems a bit too small for me, especially the eye part. I have a bigger head and medium volume of wavy-curly hair, oh and a bigger nose too.
I also have to add here, that the right hood is a bit tight, because it creates a good, being held feeling.
There is no nostril opening, which I missed a bit. I can still breathe through the material, but to me it would have been better to have more airflow. Lots of people like less air. I am the opposite.
I could still hear everything well in it. And this is what I wanted. It is easy to restrict hearing if this is what I want, but hoods are not really enough for that.
The hood was stable on my head, and I loved being closed into this darkness that could hold me. The built-in blindfold was almost big enough to cover my eyes totally. I got a little bit of light coming in under my right eye, and I couldn’t arrange it in a way that no light was shining through a little bit. But it was “ just” light, so I wasn’t able to see anything from the outside world. I tested different things, and even with open eyes with the cover I wasn’t reacting to the poking test. So I'm personally was satisfied with this blindfolding.
I think that people with less prominent noses probably won't have any light coming through.
A bit modification of the shape of the blindfold area could eliminate this. (Too bad nobody asked for my opinion, I'm super good at criticising, and moderately good at finding solutions.:))
In general I like this hood a lot. After washing it, I enjoyed wearing it. There is something deeply relaxing in it, while also I remain open to everything.
