Linking Products to PlayBlue with QR Codes

We have started adding a QR Code to every single product we sell. We are doing this to allow customers to educate themselves on the products they have in their hand.

At PlayBlue we want our customers to make an informed purchasing decision. To this end we have created 1,000s of videos, written 1,000s of product descriptions. We have done hundreds of blogs and product tests all to get the true information in the customers hands before they buy. All brilliant but it doesn’t really help an in-store customer or a gift customer.

Of course in-store Tallaght customers can get great help in-store by asking one of our amazing staff members who will be delighted to help (please ask they literally know everything about the products). But many customers are a little nervous and reserved in a sex shop. Many will never ask for help and would much prefer to self serve. 

Our QR Codes will for now send you to the product page on our website where you can see vendor videos, PlayBlue videos, Product Specifications and descriptions and customer reviews on the product you have in your hand. Our website will also offer alternatives and possible complementary products too so it can really transform the purchasing process.

We plan to adapt the QR Codes to include much more information. The key for us is to offer the customer more information on the products as they are then much more likely to end up with a sex toy they love and a happy customer comes back. We also think it might make customer support easier too. For instance if you get your product but have no idea how to even turn it on. QR Code it and you will be able to see full instructions and videos. If you have a problem, QR Code it to go to our website where you can get full support and contact details etc. We want to connect our website to the products to make everything about PlayBlue easier and more accessible.

In-Store we will also be introducing Brand QR Codes which you can use to view a vendor video maybe on what makes certain brands stand out. Personally I think this could be transformative. I’ve been banging on for years about the joys of Lube and especially the high quality stuff. Personally I use Swiss Navy. It is really expensive but honestly it is worth it. A Swiss Navy video might just help show people why.

This move to QR Codes has just begun and every single new product arriving will have the QR Code attached. It will take a little while to move the old stock but bear with us and please use the QR Codes if you see them.
