Do you know this about cleaning your back door? - SexCoach Blog

Anal sex is can be so pleasurable and all those sensitive nerve endings are wired to feel. If everything goes well it is deeply orgasmic. But there are some things that can go wrong. One of these things is worrying about poop. Douches are popular, because most people want to be prepared and avoid any unwanted spots.

But how can you choose the best for the task?

And do you actually need a douche?

Let’s start with the do you actually need a douche part. It is not essential to have a douche and a deeper inner cleaning in order to have safe and pleasurable anal sex. But this depends a lot on how you feel about poop and spots. If seeing or feeling anything is a turn off for you, then you absolutely need extra cleaning.

You also need a deep clean if you prepare to receive something huge, especially if it is long. The rectum itself is the part that is penetrated. The end of this part is the sigmoid and there is a curve there in the colon. Poop is usually stored there and not in the rectum part. This is why you don’t need a big clean, because there is usually not much poop here. This post is about the basic cleaning, not the deep one.

Of course you want to be sure that you are very clean there, and this is when douches are coming to play. (Or when you want to play with them, even though these are usually enema systems.)

You don’t need a very long and super strong douche for this, because if you press the water too far it all starts to mix up with the next section and to clean there you need way more time, and lots of patience.

Lots of people love the simple shower head nozzles, because you can “just” add them to the shower hose and it is easy to regulate the flow and the temperature.

Still the most popular ones are the classic douches with the rubber body and narrower, shorter tips. They are usually easier to insert because of the tips, and they don’t go too far in.

What to put inside the douche?

Slightly warm water is a good option. But the best is a bit of saline water (½ teaspoon in a cup) to keep the delicate balance of electrolyte in the body. If you “just” use tap water, drink something with electrolyte.

When is the best time to clean yourself before action?

A couple of hours before the planned anal play is a good time. The cleaning takes about 10 to 30 minutes.

How to do the douching?

Go to the toilet and enjoy a good dump. Take your time, be gentle to yourself, don't overwipe. I know you want to be clean, but irritating the sensitive tissue can ruin your play as well.

Prepare your douche, find your comfortable position and fill your rectum with the water. Don’t overfill (or you have to do a long, deep cleaning), wait about 5 seconds and let things go. Repeat this cycle a minimum of 5 times, but maybe you need 10 or more in order to clean this area. Repeat until the water is all clean and doesn’t smell.

If after about 12 times the water is not clean, then you probably went too far and reached the next tract after the curve. It means that you need a thorough, deeper clean. This can take an extra hour, or you can choose to skip anal play for this time.

It is normal to fart at the end, so that the trapped air can leave too. If this doesn’t smell, you are ok.

If you feel like there is some water trapped you can dance around a little to help with it. Shaking is the best.

When you are totally clean it can feel very empty and you can experience some cramps.
