PlayBlue is more than just an online store; we have two stores too. One in Cork city centre and the other in Tallaght beside the Square. The majority of our customers have never been in a PlayBlue store. Obviously for the bulk of the country it is a bit of a trek to either store but I also think there are a few other reasons for this. A load of the Irish public have a warped view of what a sex shop is. They envision drug dealers and paedophiles and live sex shows and prostitutes and what if I’m seen coming out of the store by Noreen from up the road.
This fear of embarrassment and societal opinion is by far our biggest obstacle in getting people to walk into a PlayBlue store. The problem is they are missing out and this Movie view of a sex shop is a million miles removed from reality.
So let us pull back the curtain. Our stores are modern, open and friendly. We have really helpful staff and everything is on-hand on display so you can get a real good idea of what you are getting with expert opinion thrown in for free. We only sell Lingerie and Sex Toys. Nothing dodgy over the counter or under it. We don’t sell porn and over 60% of our in-store customers are women.
PlayBlue Tallaght
A big bright store just outside the Square complex in Tallaght. This is our biggest store and we have everything on the website in stock at the same prices. Open 7 Days a week, we are here to help and would love you to see our store. As you can see from the pictures there really is nothing to be afraid of.
PlayBlue Cork
In the heart of the Huguenot quarter in Cork city. Right at the top of Careys Lane beside Pauls St Shopping centre. Trading since December 2019 PlayBlue Cork is firmly established as a local favourite. We’d love to see more Leesiders venture in-store and talk to our super friendly staff and see all the best sex toys and lingerie first hand. We have all the best sellers and about 80% of the stock on the website in-store and our prices are the same as the online.
The PlayBlue in-store experience is always going to beat buying online so if you ever get a chance to visit please do, we are sure you’ll come again and again. (sorry old joke we’ve been cracking that for 12 years now)
