PlayBlue Guide to Cock Rings
Cock Rings are one of our most popular products but many people still really haven’t got a clue what they do or how to use one. Well let’s try to give you the 5 minute crash course to explain how these little wonders work. If you find this interesting and fancy trying one checkout our cock rings department for a full selection.
What do Cock Rings Do?
The original idea behind a cock ring is to grip the base of the penis which then restricts the flow of blood back from the penis giving you stronger and wider erections. All cock rings will do this from the fanciest to the most basic and are wonderful to help maintain longer erections.
This will heighten the pleasure you and your partner get from sex and will also enable to recover after sex to a new erection quicker too.
Some cock rings have gone a step beyond this basic functionality to offer a huge array of choices and options that can sometimes look very complicated indeed. But really it is important to keep in mind that basically they are all the same and their main function is to engorge the penis to make for a better sexual experience.
What different types are there?
The first major difference is some have a vibrating function others don’t. The vibrating ones generally have one or more small bullet vibrators attached to either vibrate his balls, penis and/or perineum/anus and also to stimulate her clitoris and/or perineum/anus. These can look incredibly complicated with multiple loops and vibrating bullets attached.
The non-vibrating ones will usually have a single loop that fits tightly around the base of the penis behind the balls. Others may have another ring or attached loop to fit around the balls. There are also cock rings (even though we are stretching the validity of the name) that have a third ring one for the base of the penis, one for the balls and another for the around the shaft of the penis.
There are also lasso style or adjustable cock rings that can be re-sized to ensure the perfect fit.
But please don’t lose sight that they all generally have the same function and operate the same way so don't let any of them frighten you.
How do you fit one?
Most are made from very stretchy rubber so one size will fit all. Some are made from metal which we wouldn’t advice for a beginner and would need to be sized for.
Most men wear the basic cock rings around the base of the penis behind the balls, but many wear them around the shaft of the penis. It is easier to fit when you are not fully erect, you should tuck your balls through one at a time then fold the penis down and tuck it through. It can then be easily adjusted to where it is most comfortable. To remove the now flaccid penis should be easy to push out followed by the balls again one at a time.
What one is right for me?
Well if you have never tried a cock ring before go for something basic with at most a single vibrating bullet. This will let you experience what having sex with a cock ring is like before you try out the myriad of options available.
If you want to stimulate your female partner go for a vibrating one with an extended clitoral vibrator attached. It will take a bit of practice to get it working as you’d expect but sure that is half the fun isn’t it.
If you like perineum stimulation you can go for a double vibrating cock ring with a bullet behind the balls at the top of the perineum and another at the top of the penis to stimulate the clitoris. Really the choices are endless.
What positions work best?
For non-vibrating ones the idea is to enlarge the penis with a stronger erection so all positions should work well so just try your favourite.
With the vibrating ones try her on top as she can then grind into the bullet part to control her own stimulation and any rear vibrating element for him will work well too.
Again we can only advice you experiment to see which works well for you and make sure to enjoy the experience.
